The leader of Al-Watania Coalition, Dr. Ayad Allawi, visited the holy city of Najaf and was hosted by Beni Hassan Emirates tribe and received by Sheikh Ahmed Al Hatem Al Hassan, Dr. Ali Al Hatem Al Hassan and a number of tribal leaders and notables of Beni Hassan clans in the governorate. A number of matters were discussed and Dr. Allawi emphasised on the noble role of tribes and their honourable positions in the 1920 revolution and in confronting the forces of terrorism and extremism. Dr. Allawi called for the preservation of unity and cohesion of our tribes, overcoming any differences and stressed that these tribes constitute national solidarity in all its aspects, protect our social fabric and contribute to civil peace and stability in the country.
